La violenza sessuale contro le donne rifugiate e richiedenti asilo è un fenomeno drammatico in Europa e nei paesi del Mediterraneo. Organismi e istituzioni internazionali – tra cui ONU, UNHACR, Consiglio d’Europa e Parlamento Europeo – hanno richiamato l’attenzione sull’urgenza di promuovere politiche specifiche, poiché il rischio di violenze e di abusi sessuali rende le donne più vulnerabili.
Attraverso un programma di formazione e le azioni pilota, il progetto ASVARW intende sensibilizzare alla violenza sessuale basata sul genere gli operatori che lavorano, con diversi ruoli e competenze, nei centri che accolgono donne rifugiate e richiedenti asilo consapevolezza. Intende inoltre fornire strumenti per contrastarla, in particolare a coloro che hanno i primi contatti e sono i più vicini alle donne.
Venerdì 4 maggio si terrà a Bologna l’evento finale: Prevenire e contrastare la violenza sessuale contro le rifugiate e richiedenti asilo.

Training and Capacity Building
Training modules for key professionals who are the first contact for the victims of violence. Each treaning program consists of modules on specific topics for different groups: social workers, psycologists and legal counselors at receptions and assistance centers, medical staff, police staff.

Pilot Actions
The first action aims at testing a multi-disciplinary approach by setting up teams that bring together different competences working jointly on the identification, recognition and treatment for RAS victims of sexual violence.

Awareness Raising at Community Level
